Frequently asked questions
Short answers about what OrbaOS measures, where your data lives, how it’s deployed and how billing works. Need more? Talk to us →
Product
What does OrbaOS Instruments actually measure?
It measures your Coordination Capital Ratio (CCR) — the share of labour cost absorbed by human-mediated coordination — alongside the Structural Floor and Coordination Drift, and turns them into board-ready, auditable reports.
What is the difference between Instruments and the IntApp engine?
Instruments is the platform you log into: data entry, history, governance controls and reports. OrbaOS IntApp is the analysis engine that reads evidence, scores it and interprets the result against the doctrine. Instruments stores your data; the engine computes and (in the cloud edition) forgets.
Can I use one without the other?
Yes. Instruments works on its own with figures you enter by hand, and the engine can run as a private local appliance for a single analyst or an air-gapped review. You can adopt one and add the other later.
Is this financial or regulatory advice?
No. OrbaOS produces measurements and interpretations to support governance decisions, but it is not financial, legal, audit or regulatory advice and does not replace professional judgement. See our Terms of Service.
Data & security
Where does my data live?
In the cloud edition, platform data is stored in our secure cloud, isolated per organisation. On-premise and air-gapped deployments keep all data inside your own infrastructure. The analysis engine is stateless in the cloud edition — it processes figures in memory and stores nothing.
Does the AI engine keep my evidence?
No. When Instruments calls the engine it scores the evidence in memory and returns the result; it is not retained by the engine. On-premise and air-gapped installs run a local model so content never leaves your environment.
How is my data protected?
Encryption in transit, access controls, hashed credentials, per-organisation isolation and a stateless engine. See our Privacy Policy for detail.
Do you offer a DPA for GDPR?
Yes. Where we process personal data on your behalf you are the controller and we are the processor; a Data Processing Agreement is available for business customers on request.
Deployment
How is it delivered and set up?
Cloud accounts are ready the same day. For on-premise or air-gapped, we package the platform and engine for your environment and calibrate your doctrine baseline during onboarding. See How it works for the full process.
What deployment options are there?
Cloud (we host both parts), on-premise (both parts inside your network), and a local edition (just the engine, on one offline machine). The product does not fork — only where the engine runs changes.
Plans & billing
Can I buy without talking to sales?
Yes — the Diagnostic Pack and monthly Starter / Professional plans are self-serve through Stripe. Annual licences, on-premise and air-gapped deployments and group structures are arranged with our team so we can handle security review, contracts and provisioning.
Is there a trial?
Yes, a free trial is available on the platform plans. It converts to a paid plan at the end unless cancelled beforehand.
Do I get the book?
Every paid plan ships a hardcover edition of The Coordination Capital Doctrine (founder offer).
